Producer Trudeau: "She Kills Monsters" About Identity

A young woman named Agnes loses her family in a car wreck and discovers secrets about her late sister through Dungeons and Dragons. That’s the situation in “She Kills Monsters," a dramedy, written by Qui Nguyen, that opens Thursday, April 7, at Tilden Arts Center at 4C’s. Produced by Vana Trudeau and directed by Holly Erin McCarthy, the show will continue at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays through April 23.

O'Brien as Nasty Cheerleader in "She Kills Monsters"

“She is an evil succubus cheerleader -- one of two, so there's a second cheerleader and we're kind of like a pair, basically,” the 4C’s student says. “I’m the bully of the main character, which has been fun for me to play because it's very much not who I am in real life. It was definitely kind of hard to get into that mindset because she is not a very nice person at all.”

Needles of Black History

For the month of March an exhibit was available for viewing at the Cape Cod Community College (4C's) library. This exhibit, Needles of Black History, showed many aspects of Black culture and history. “The birth of the ‘Needles of Black History’ was originally born out of the larger exhibit that my partner and I created while working at the Easthampton High School,” says Asher Hamilton, coordinator of student life and fitness. “The ‘Needles of Black History’ exhibit speaks to how needles weave fabric together to make a connection to the idea of wholeness.”

4C's Dental Hygiene Program Runs Clinic

Cape Cod Community College (4C’s) dental students are learning by doing, providing dental care, and helping the community in the process.The 4C’s Dental Hygiene Program operates a state-of-the-art clinic in Maureen M Wilkens Hall. Professional dental hygienists and dentists supervise students of this two-year program. During February Break, the students performed free dental treatment for children.

2023 Trip to Peru

The 4C’s Funeral Program is traveling to Peru in 2023 for intercultural studies. But the trip is not centered on any specific major, according to Daniel Shea, professor, and trip leader. All majors are welcomed and encouraged. The 13-day trip will depart from Boston on June 7, 2023. All 4C’s students are welcome to join, along with family, friends, and significant others.

Wednesday, December 8, Stress Less Day activities will be held from 12:30-2:30pm in the Grossman Commons Café. To help calm your nerves and get your mind on something other than your worries, you can indulge in free pizza and ice cream, and also design your own self care kit.

Holiday Jazz and Art Session

Cape Cod Community College (4C's) is indulging in the holiday festivities, and are tying in aspects of the community to make it more special. Thursday, December 2, 4C's is hosting the Holiday Jazz and Art Session in the Tilden Arts Center Lobby. This event will highlight performers and artists on campus for a joyful and festive event.
