“The exhibition is a faculty and invitational show curated by Nathalie Ferrier, director of the Higgins Art Gallery at 4C’s.” said Vicky Tomayko, a professor and artist in the exhibition. “The theme of the exhibition is social justice and change.” After the pandemic, there has been a disconnect in community values, and this event will reignite that, and the holiday spirit will strengthen the impact.
“I’m teaching remotely this semester but I am hoping that some of my students will see my work in person.” added Tomayko “My students in Painting 1 have worked hard all semester and have been sharing their work with the class. This exhibition brings the exchange full circle.” This event will promote new senses of connection between those in the 4C’s community, and allow people to feel closer to one another through the aspect of art.
“My work comes from my heart and my head and I think art can make the world a better place.” said Tomayko “I enjoy sharing my knowledge and find the students at 4C’s compelling, hard working, and thoughtful.” It’s vital to utilize art and music as a gateway to connection, as it’s where a lot of people find common ground. The Holiday Jazz and Art Session will enable that, and the festivities will highlight the importance of coming closer together as a college.

This event will help to promote the holiday spirit and unite 4C’s community together through music, dance, and art. It’s free entry for all, and Project Forward will be providing refreshments. Make sure not to miss it, this Thursday, December 2nd at 5:30 in the Tilden Art Center lobby!
