This year, IRS-certified students from the College’s Accounting program will be offering complimentary tax preparation services for the community as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Troy Clarkson of Falmouth, MA has been appointed to the Cape Cod Community College Board of Trustees by Governor Maura Healey. Mr. Clarkson is a long-time fixture in the Falmouth community and is the current Chief Financial Officer for the City of Brockton.

Actor Neil McGarry will return to the Tilden Arts Center Studio Theatre at Cape Cod Community College (4Cs) on December 6, 2024 to present his award-winning solo performance of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

The Funeral Service program at Cape Cod Community College (4Cs) already had the unique distinction of being the only community college program in Massachusetts housed entirely on the campus of a 4-year State university at Bridgewater State University (BSU). The growing program now has a new home at BSU, moving to the center of campus with a new suite of labs, classrooms, and spaces for students to pursue their Associate-in-Science in Funeral Service.

The Project Forward program at Cape Cod Community College will be hosting their annual “Holiday Pop-Up Market” on their West Barnstable campus on Thursday, December 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The market will be set up in the College’s Grossman Commons building and will feature homemade crafts, gifts, and baked goods prepared by Project Forward students and staff.

Featuring works by talented faculty and renowned guest artists, the exhibit begins with an in-person reception on November 14 and concludes with a virtual Artist Talk on February 6. Congratulations to the staff and contributors of Cape Cod Community College’s Sea Change! The 2024 edition of the magazine earned 2nd Place in the Eastern Region Best Magazine Award category from the Community College Humanities Association, with individual contributors also taking home top honors for poetry, short stories, artwork, and photography. On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Cape Cod Community College inducted its newest members into their chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the renowned international honor society for two-year colleges. Through 4Cs’ chapter of PTK, known as Alpha Upsilon Mu, students will gain access to special scholarship opportunities, career training and advice, national recognition for their academic achievements, and special notation on college transcripts.
