Troy Clarkson Named to Cape Cod CC Board of Trustees

Troy Clarkson of Falmouth, MA has been appointed to the Cape Cod Community College Board of Trustees by Governor Maura Healey. Mr. Clarkson is a long-time fixture in the Falmouth community and is the current Chief Financial Officer for the City of Brockton.

An author and speaker with more than 25-years of experience of leadership in government and public service, Mr. Clarkson has been an active member of the Falmouth community since his teen years, when he wrote, published, and delivered “The Cove Chronicle” newspaper. In 2024, he was named as Falmouth’s “Outstanding Citizen of the Year” by the local Chamber of Commerce. He served on the Falmouth Select Board for twelve years before moving into executive positions in local government, serving as Town Manager for both Bridgewater and Hanover and as Town Administrator for Plymouth County. In 2019, Mr. Clarkson was appointed as Chief Financial Officer for Brockton.

 Mr. Clarkson holds a Bachelors degree in Political Science from Boston College, a Masters in Public Administration from Bridgewater State University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Adler University. He is also a twice published author and continues to write a weekly newspaper column in the Falmouth Enterprise.

 The Cape Cod Community College Board of Trustees serves the governing body for the College, responsible for long-range planning, financial resource planning, and organizational structure. Board members are appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and include one alumnus and one member elected by the College’s Alumni Association.
