Cape Cod CC’s Welcomes Actor Neil McGarry for One-Person Performance of “A Christmas Carol”

Actor Neil McGarry will return to the Tilden Arts Center Studio Theatre at Cape Cod Community College (4Cs) on December 6, 2024 to present his award-winning solo performance of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

McGarry has toured his rendition of the holiday classic for the last eleven years across Cape Cod, New England, and most recently stages in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The show, directed by Ross McDonald, was named “Best of Boston” by critic Jules Becker and won “Best Solo Performance” from the Independent Reviewers of New England. Armed only with a bare stage, a few props, and the words originally written by Dickens, McGarry delivers the famous story with a tour de force performance.

A Hyannis native and Cape Cod Community College alumnus, McGarry has starred in multiple productions and films as well as several commercials. He has made multiple appearances with the Cape Symphony, Plymouth Philharmonic, and the Fremont Symphony in California. He has been a professional actor for more than 30-years and received his training at the National Shakespeare Conservatory.

Neil McGarry’s solo performance of A Christmas Carol takes place Friday, December 6, in the Studio Theatre of Tilden Arts Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for 4Cs students and $25 for adults, with a limited number of “Pay What You Wish” tickets available.
