This Year’s Sea Change Reading Promises to be Gifted and Groovy

Along with the other members of his Sea Change class, Dylan Girouard spent most of his semester sifting through submissions of art, poetry, and non-fiction submissions to the art and literary magazine. It’s an especially exciting show for Girouard and his classmates; they hope it will be “more of a personal, intimate-feeling, positive, cool, low-key poetry reading.”

Your Chance to Win Red Sox Tickets

The Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) is a survey sent out every four years to monitor institutional effectiveness over time. This year, the Student Government and Asher Hamilton collectively came up with the idea of adding Red Sox tickets as an incentive to do the CCSSE according to Max Kennedy, the Student Trustee at Cape Cod Community College.

Producer Trudeau: "She Kills Monsters" About Identity

A young woman named Agnes loses her family in a car wreck and discovers secrets about her late sister through Dungeons and Dragons. That’s the situation in “She Kills Monsters," a dramedy, written by Qui Nguyen, that opens Thursday, April 7, at Tilden Arts Center at 4C’s. Produced by Vana Trudeau and directed by Holly Erin McCarthy, the show will continue at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays through April 23.

O'Brien as Nasty Cheerleader in "She Kills Monsters"

“She is an evil succubus cheerleader -- one of two, so there's a second cheerleader and we're kind of like a pair, basically,” the 4C’s student says. “I’m the bully of the main character, which has been fun for me to play because it's very much not who I am in real life. It was definitely kind of hard to get into that mindset because she is not a very nice person at all.”

The Batman is the Greatest Batman Movie Ever Made

Directed by Matt Reeves, it stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, John Turturro, and Jeffrey Wright. The Batman highlights Bruce Wayne’s early years as Batman, but unlike 2005’s Batman Begins, it doesn’t highlight his origin story, it starts in his second year as Batman.
