College Offers Free Feminine Products

Female hygiene products can range from $10-$20 per month, never mind the additional cost of bras and underwear. All these items are available free of charge for 4Cs students. The Student Wellness Office partnered with the nonprofit Dignity Matters to ease this burden. Tampons, pads, and liners are stocked throughout the bathrooms on campus. Student Wellness case manager Cheryl Kramer welcomes students to stop by if they need more feminine hygiene products – at no cost – to take home.

Members Wanted for Clubs

Club Day is a way to introduce students to all kinds of clubs that are offered at 4Cs.This semester’s Club Day was held Jan. 31 in the 4Cs cafeteria. Each club had its own table, with at least one representative answering questions and looking for new members.

4Cs alum plays Rooster in ‘Annie’

4Cs alumnus Jeffrey Kelly is playing Rooster Hannigan in the musical “Annie” through Feb. 9 at The Wang Theatre in Boston.  Kelly studied music and performing arts at 4Cs, with his first role at the college being Banqou in “The Tragedy of Macbeth.” He went on to study theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York.

Community Resources Day Set for Jan. 30

4Cs will host Community Resources Day on Jan. 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Grossman Commons Cafeteria, Building No. 7. The event will include information on the library, veteran services, tutoring and other resources offered to students. Also available: information on community resources such as the Department of Transitional Assistance, Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority, Independence House and Cape Light Compact.

Vana Trudeau Holds New Post

Vana Trudeau has a new position. Trudeau, the Tilden Arts Center and college events coordinator since 2016, has been named the full-time faculty member at the 4C’s Performing Arts Program. It’s the first time since 2009 that the program has had a full-time professor. Previously, adjunct faculty have taught classes in the program.

Reagan Adviser Meets With 4C’s Students

David Gergen might have dodged a bullet on March 30, 1981. That’s the day John Hinckley Jr. opened fire at Ronald Reagan outside a hotel in Washington, D.C., wounding the president and three others. Gregen, Reagan’s presidential adviser, wasn’t there. He was at a meeting in the West Wing of the White House when the shooting occurred.

4C’s Has Lunch, Brazilian Style

The 4C’s Brazilian Luncheon transported our taste buds straight to Brazil. Held Dec. 5 Grossman Commons Café, it featured traditional delights, transforming the typical lunch hour into a symphony of flavors, textures, and colors representing Brazil's rich culture. On the menu: shaved Brazilian-style brisket, grilled pineapple with mango, Brazilian chicken with coconut milk, fried plantain, rice, black beans, and, for dessert, Brazilian-style coconut cake.
