Members Wanted for Clubs

by Justus Canto

Club Day is a way to introduce students to all kinds of clubs that are offered at 4Cs.This semester’s Club Day was held Jan. 31 in the 4Cs cafeteria. Each club had its own table, with at least one representative answering questions and looking for new members.

The Pride Alliance Club is an affinity group on campus involved in activism, social justice, breaking down barriers, and fostering strong, engaged communities. The club is involved in educational workshops, open forums, a speaker series, and social events. It offers a safe space for all students.

“This semester, we want to see a rise of membership for sure” says Isadora Greenberg, president of the Pride Alliance. “We are also planning the second annual Pride Conference”

The Dungeons & Dragons Club members play “Dungeons & Dragons,” which is a classic game of imagination. They also play a variety of other tabletop role-playing games from independent developer studios and provide workshops and feedback to those interested in game design. No experience is necessary; their goal is just to have fun playing.

The Gaming Club mainly do board games and Beyblades during their meetings. Their table at Club Day had a Beyblade stadium set up for students to play with and also examples of what board games they play.

“Currently, we’re doing a lot of board games. We’re trying to get video games in; however, it’s become little more difficult since COVID,” said Mathew Brun, club adviser.
