AMT Program Gets $463K Grant to Launch National Aerospace Tech Center!

Thanks to a generous new grant, a new generation of aviation mechanics will be flying high at Cape Cod Community College. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced that the College’s Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program, housed at Plymouth Municipal Airport, is a recipient of a $463,594 Aviation Workforce Development Grant. This funding supports the program in educating the next generation of aviation professionals.

Cape Cod Community College President John Cox Recognized at State House for Work in Suicide Prevention, Wellness

Cape Cod Community College President Dr. John Cox was recognized at the Massachusetts State House last week for his work in leading mental health awareness at the College and his support of suicide prevention efforts. Alongside several other recipients, the award came from the Massachusetts Coalition for Suicide Prevention (MCSP) at their “Leadership in Suicide Prevention” ceremony.

Cape Cod Regional STEM Network at 4Cs Looks to Pair Pre-K Through 12 Educations with “Teacher-in-Residence” Opportunities

The Cape Cod Regional STEM Network at Cape Cod Community College is seeking applications from local Pre-K through 12 STEM teachers in the Cape and Islands region as part of their “Teacher-in-Residence” program. The Teacher-in-Residence program pairs a STEM teacher with STEM-rich host institution in their region for a two-week externship. In addition to a $1000 stipend for completing their externship, teachers will also receive $500 towards a field trip to support their curriculum in the 2023-24 school year.
