Professor St. Onge Shares Thoughts on Psychology, Social Work

Professor Krystin St. Onge has been active in the field of psychology for many years. She has had a series of different jobs within social work, such as direct-care work involving both doctors and incarcerated patients. She says one of her goals in teaching general psychology courses at 4C’s is to find students and people who are committed to the work the same way she has been. An example of her commitment is the space she created in the health field for herself while being a female BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color). In a recent interview she discussed the obstacles and advantages of becoming a professor, among other things.

Honors Club Invites All to Donate Toys for Children

Throughout March, the Honors Club at 4C’s is collecting toys for children in need at Housing Assistance shelters. There are multiple sites set up around campus for students to donate toys. The toys can be balls, chalk, bubbles, jump-ropes, and much more. The Honors Club is using its resources to help children in need through this toy drive. “Kids often arrive to our shelters with few or no toys – the items that help them feel some stability and normalcy in their lives”

Professor Daniels Helps Students Find Voice

Professor Tyler Daniels has been teaching here at 4C's for a couple of years. Among his classes: Human Communication, Survey of Mass Communication and Radio Production. This is Daniels’ first semester teaching Voice and Diction. He got the idea after he recently wrote a novel and turned it into an audio book. A colleague suggested that Daniels teach a Voice and Diction class, and he loved the idea.

Professor Ericson Delves Into the World of Learning Social Work

Professor Ericson has a doctorate in social work and years of experience, but his career plan was originally going in a different direction. He started at 4C’s playing baseball and basketball, back when 4C’s had their own teams which would compete with other community college teams.
