Are you interested in starting your career path to become a Certified Addiction Recovery Coach?

Who Should Apply? This training program was developed and designed for individuals in recovery (with at least 9 months of sobriety) and individuals with lived experience.

The goal of this program is to start you on the process of becoming a Certified Addiction Recovery Coach in Massachusetts. Students will build foundational skills and practices with a focus on career coaching and navigation, mental health, addiction, whole health approaches and peer coaching, cultural competencies, recovery coach academy, and ethical considerations. 

Applications are now open for the next program, set to begin in late March 2025. Applicants must attend a virtual Information Session via Zoom for their application to be considered. This session will cover the curriculum, class schedule, key dates, attendance expectations, and participation requirements, with time for Q&A. If an applicant is unable to attend, they must speak directly with Steve McLeod, Cape and Islands AHEC Director, to schedule a one-on-one session to review program expectations and course requirements.
