Cape Cod Community College to Host Free VITA Tax Preparation Service Events

IRS Certified students in Cape Cod Community College’s Accounting program will be available to help taxpayers file their 2023 returns for free this season. Hosted through the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, the College will have hours of operation available by appointment only every Tuesday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. through the April 15, 2024 tax filing deadline.

Student volunteers are fully IRS Certified, having passed all the necessary exams and training.  Appointments are required with no walk-ins being accepted during the open hours. To schedule an appointment members of the community can email [email protected] or call 774-330-4923.

The VITA program has operated for more than 50 years, offering free tax support to people who need assistance in preparing their returns.
