Cape Cod Community College’s Project Forward Program to Host a Holiday Market on December 7
November 21, 2023The Project Forward program at Cape Cod Community College will be hosting their annual “Holiday Pop-Up Market” on their West Barnstable campus on Thursday, December 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The market will be set up in the College’s Grossman Commons building and will feature homemade crafts, gifts, and baked goods prepared by students in their Retail and Art and Entrepreneurship area of the program.
Project Forward is a nationally renowned program that provides students with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to gain and maintain vocational skills, keys to independent living, and pathways to social success. Students in the program receive hands-on experience in multiple different fields, including Agriculture and Facilities, Childcare, Healthcare, Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Mass Communications and Retail Operations Management. With a true dedication to helping those with intellectual disabilities thrive in their everyday lives, the program has an employment rate of more than 87% for graduates.
All sales are cash or check only with all money goings towards future Project Forward programming and scholarships.
