The Center for Corporate and Professional Education (CCAPE) Offering Reimbursable Employer Training Programs
November 8, 2021As local employers continue to navigate workplace uncertainties brought on by the pandemic, the Center for Corporate and Professional Education (CCAPE) at Cape Cod Community College is offering reimbursable professional development training opportunities for businesses across the region. Through the Commonwealth Corporation’s expanded “Express Program,” qualifying employers with 100 or fewer employees receive 100% reimbursement on training and employers with more than 100 employees receive 50% reimbursement.
CCAPE offers both group and individual professional development training for all employers, regardless of their business type, and any level of employee. Group training is offered either onsite or online, live with an instructor at a time that makes participation easy. Training sessions can include Management and Leadership, Communication, Computer Training, Process Improvement, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Customer Relations. Individual training options can be found here, and are always being updated to reflect reimbursable Express Program courses.
“As our local businesses continue to bounce back from the pandemic, there’s a huge need for well-trained professionals at every level of every organization,” said Tammi Jacobson, Director of Corporate and Professional Education at Cape Cod Community College. “Thanks to the expanded Express Program, businesses of any size can access our professional development trainings at little to no cost. When your employees have access to trainings like this, you allow them to flourish and grow along with the organization. It’s a huge win for our communities and we’re excited to expand our services.”
To be approved for reimbursement through the Express Program, business owners are required to complete a brief 30-minute application through CCAPE. Training can begin as soon as 21-days after submission. The CCAPE team works with businesses to design a customized training plan and to complete the funding application process. Employers who are eligible for the Express Program may also work with CCAPE to apply for a comprehensive multi-year, multi-faceted grant for up to $250K.
