by Tribekah Jordan

Calling all book lovers.

4Cs is offering book lovers to chance to spend Valentine’s Day reading Trevor Noah's memoir, “Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood.

A “Read Aloud” of the book will be held upstairs in the Lorusso Atrium from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Feb. 14. Students are welcome to sign up for the event if they want to read Noah’s memoir aloud or can come to the event as a listener.

Cindy Pavlos, head of the One Book committee at 4Cs, put together the Read Aloud event with comedian Noah’s book in mind. Acclaimed as an inspiring and comical account of Noah’s childhood in South Africa, the 2016 memoir was named one of the best books of the year by The New York Times. “Born a Crime” also won the Thurber Prize for American Humor and an NAACP Image Award. There are free copies of Trevor Noah's “Born A Crime” located in the library at the front desk and there will be extra copies available at Read Aloud.

Students can contact Cindy Pavlos at 774-339-4453 or at the Wilkens North Building, Room 204 for more information. To sign up to read: https://forms.office.com/r/g3pmqZWw85.
