Student Election: This One Was Close

The results are in, and this was a close call.
Thalles De Souza won the Student Government election for president over Olivia Williams by one vote. De Souza received 66 votes; Williams, 65.
One hundred and forty 4C’s students cast ballots that were verified by the Office of Institutional Research, using the provided student ID numbers. Zaria Cain-Williams ran uncontested for student trustee, gaining 85 votes. Other Student Government winners who ran uncontested included Noah Schmidt for public-relations officer and Alexandria Tamburrini for secretary.
Three open positions remain in Student Government: historian, parliamentarian and vice-president.
