4C's Teams to Tackle Trivia

by Jamison Feeley

Phi Theta Kappa and the Honors Club are hosting a trivia night on April 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and it is free to attend. This trivia night is a way to connect with the campus and community and give students the opportunity to win gift cards to the cafeteria. Students and staff from Cape Cod Community College are coming together to participate in a new trivia night.  The event is designed to offer an opportunity for the campus and local community to connect in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We started it during COVID-19 as a way to connect the campus and our community, because as you said … we were locked up in our own separate homes and it was a successful attempt to connect people the way we could and the thing is it was really popular, so we kept doing it every semester,” Martin says.

The bi-weekly event consists of a variety of topics.  Martin gives an example of a previous question, “How long is the John Hancock Building?" Teams are randomly chosen, with the winners of each trivial night receiving gift cards from the cafeteria. The trivia night is hosted by DJ Patrick, who has been doing trivia all over Cape Cod.

Martin says that she hopes that the event will continue to be popular and will offer an opportunity for fellowship and learning during a time when traditional social interactions are limited, although not as limited as before.
