Accessible Mental Health and Wellness resources at 4C’s

by Amber Rivard

The student wellness office is offering a variety of new ways students can access support at any time with the new 24/7 Support Line: 833.434.1217. Students can call to get connected with free virtual or in-person therapy, or if in crisis.

For those who need to reduce stress, there is a new app offered, called Headspace, offering free mindfulness meditation, sleep, and exercise content. If students ever need someone to talk to about Mental health, you are not alone, anonymously talk to students from around the world going through similar things as you, or if you just need a friend, with TalkCampus App, new at 4C’s.

“Throughout the pandemic, anxiety and depression have been on the rise with college students.” Said Dr. Maura Weir Director of the student wellness office. “We want our students to reach out for help in any way they feel comfortable be it in person or in the virtual world.”

The Wellness Hub also offers a wide variety of interesting articles involving different areas of life. Whether you are looking for ways to improve your academic success, mental health, sleep, and more, the wellness hub offers helpful tips and tricks to improve your life. These tools can be helpful for anyone struggling with anxiety and depression during these challenging times.
