A Ghost Town.

On March 25, I took a ride down Route 28 and I was surprised that it didn’t take me very long to get to Hyannis, as traffic was very light. As I drove further, I noticed that there were very few cars in parking lots. It reminded me of a ghost town of the old west.

Many schools across the country are now going entirely online due to concerns about COVID-19, including Cape Cod Community College (4Cs). Individuals are navigating the best they can through the unknown and attempting to adapt. That unknown for many students is now taking online classes in Zoom.

Regulations regarding campus service pets

Sitting in the library studying for a quiz or test can be boring. Even working on the computer in a lab or in the writing center can become tedious, especially on a Monday. In walks a student with a dog to immediately brighten up your day and you may be tempted to run over and play with and pet the dog. Be careful, because that dog is most likely a service dog and is currently working.

There is a distinct sense of pride that comes from looking at something and being able to say, ‘I made that’. This is the basis for Sea Change: The student made arts and literary magazine at Cape Cod Community College (4Cs) which is made up of work submitted by the members of the 4Cs community including students, faculty and alumni.

Column: Women’s role in politics

In my third-grade class, each student was given a handout with the question “What would you do if you were President?” The typical answers ensued: no more chores, free candy, and ruling the world. Though these responses are very eight-year-old-ish, what is interesting is that every kid in the class had the opportunity to answer. There was no discrimination.
