Why Do Students Choose 4C’s?

by Shanel Joisil

There are many diverse factors that influence college selection, including affordability, community, and opportunity. Student perspectives are important to understanding why Cape Cod Community College is desirable. After getting insight from a few 4C’s students, I was able to uncover the distinct qualities that make Cape Cod Community College a right pick.

Jadyn Orciuolo: “The reason why I choose to go to 4C’s is because it benefited me more and felt like a smarter option. They are very flexible with online and in-person classes, which gives me the opportunity to work throughout the week and take care of my younger brother. It is also very cost-friendly, and I also thought it was a good opportunity for me to stay close to home because I graduated high school a year early, so it gives me time to plan and prepare for the future.”

Nathan Farquharson: “I just started to attend 4C’s because I recently graduated from DY a few months ago and I decided to come here and, like, check out the campus and get used to the classes and stuff.”

Hannah Sweeney: “I go to 4C’s because of the inclusivity and the general work ethic of the students here. All the teachers and students are very dedicated and are working hard for a degree. The professors work hard to get the students to this point. It is also really, cheap so there’s that.”

Griffin Erdman: “So I saw the advertisement that …, if you’re 25 or older you could go for free. So, I signed up for that reason.”

Creig (Corday) Cummings: “I choose to attend 4C’s because it was a great way and opportunity for me to obtain my education for a cheaper price.”
