New Students Arriving on Campus

For many students, this fall semester is their first time on campus. As COVID regulations have begun to lift, masks are now optional to wear. Everyone on campus is required to be vaccinated. There are more opportunities to have classes in person rather than on Zoom.
“It’s definitely a little strange and overwhelming being on campus for the first time,” says new student Meadow Clark. “But once you know where you need to go, you feel like a real college student.”
Clark, like many other students, is attending 4C’s straight out of high school. The high school environment is very different from the college environment, Clark says.
“At 4C’s, the professors and staff are very honest and want what’s best for you, and in high school, it was about making the school look good, and not what was making the best for me,” Clark says.
Another new student, Breno de Melo, agrees.
“It is very different because I see that the students are actually interested in learning the subjects,” de Melo says. “And you definitely see much more respect that the students have for the faculty members and professors.”
De Melo also likes being on campus rather than Zooms.
“I like the atmosphere, and it really helps me to focus on my academic life because I have an environment with no distractions,” de Melo says.
Both students say they are very excited for the semester.
“I also want to meet more people that will help me stay on track and will share the same interests,” says de Melo.
