4Cs annual harvest feast

by Samuel Agger

The annual Harvest Feast at Cape Cod Community College went off without a hitch last Thursday, 11/12/20, albeit in a different format than previous years.

Because of COVID-19 the distribution happened in the parking lot instead of indoors. A steady stream of people came by car and on foot to receive their goodie bags of Thanksgiving style meals, which included turkey, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, gravy, and a roll.Patrick Stone estimates they prepared and served four hundred and fifty meals total, with over two hundred and fifty meals reserved through preregistration. Chief Padilla urges everyone that may have missed the Harvest Feast, or anyone that would like a free box of food to join her Saturdays on campus for the weekly Farmers to Families food distribution, which was recently extended for 8 additional weeks.
