4Cs Hosts Variety of Entertainment Events

by Krista Cascio

This semester Cape Cod Community College (4Cs) students can anticipate a number of upcoming events, including the premier of a new on-campus production. Boundless, as described in a casting call email by Tilden Arts Coordinator Vana Trudeau, is a play that “explores the lifestyle, the history and the future of the fishing industry on Cape Cod.”

Some other campus events you can look forward to are a body-building competition around mid-fall, a Jazz Band concert in early December, and a production of Legaly Blonde put on by Sturgis High School.

This semester, the Tilden Arts Center will be hosting the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, a national theater program dedicated to improving the quality of college theater in the US, which is “a huge honour to host,” says Trudeau, who also serves as a Board Member of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.

All the hard work that goes into these events is for the benefit of the students. The goal is to make the stresses of college a little more bearable, to present students with an opportunity to advance in their studies and careers, to social network and make lifelong friends, and of course to entertain those lucky few in attendance.

As the semester unravels, more details on these events will be revealed and posted online under the Campus Events tab at the bottom of the 4Cs website. Check in with your MainSheet newspaper for reviews, tell-all’s and sneak previews of these events.
