Grant Center

Nonprofit organizations, individuals, and other grant seekers on Cape Cod and the Islands looking for funding sources have access to the Foundation Directory Online at the Wilkens Library.

The Wilkens Library at Cape Cod Community College is a member of the Funding Information Network (FIN), part of Candid. The Funding Information Network provides the public with access to the Foundation Directory Online.

The Foundation Directory Online (FDO) is the most comprehensive and current online source on foundation grants. Access to the FDO database is available on-site in the library. Remote access is not available. The FDO includes detailed information on foundations, with links to current foundation 990-PF tax filings, crucial facts on grants, including the purpose of the grant, and a searchable index of trustees, officers, and donors. Candid provides tutorials on how to search the Foundation Directory Online as well as links to FAQs, and additional resources.

The Foundation Grants to Individuals Online database has merged in to the FDO, so all your grant searching is available in one place! By clicking the “Include grants to individuals” check box under the search bar, individuals can search by foundation name, foundation city, foundation state, field of interest, type of support, geographic focus, company name, school name, and free text. For helpful search information, check out this help article from Candid.

The Foundation databases are available during regular library hours only. An appointment is not required, but is recommended for the first time visitor or if consultation with a librarian is desired. To schedule an appointment, please contact Maryann Stacey at 774-330-4444 or [email protected].
