About the Artist

Robin Joyce Miller’s goal as an artist is to take the viewer on a pictorial journey of the African American experience. Color, texture, and visual rhythms characterize her unique style of mixed media collage. Many of her works are paper story quilts. Miller uses decorative papers, paint and sometimes objects to create her work.

Miller’s art expresses the reverent pride for her cultural heritage. The viewer will be taken by the elegance, strength, faith and inner beauty of a people who have been devalued throughout history yet continue on living with dignity and grace.
