This certificate program teaches basic nursing skills and beginning interpersonal relationship skills. The graduate will be able to provide care to patients of all ages under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Day and evening classes offered. The Tri-level Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide course is recommended for students planning to continue their education into the Nursing Program.
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to provide basic nursing care to patients of all ages under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse within the following settings:
Note: This course meets Federal and State guidelines for nursing assistant and home health aide training.
Admission into the program requires that the applicant attend a Nursing Assistant Information Session. See Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide Admissions Requirements.
Apply Request InfoIn order to be eligible for and successfully complete the Tri-level Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide Certificate, certain physical and behavioral standards are required as part of the program and clinical/lab experience. These technical standards have been developed using the U.S. Department of Labor's skills and abilities for those working in a medical setting. Some cooperative work experience opportunities may have additional requirements beyond the technical standards listed here and requirements may vary by agency. Students must satisfy the program’s technical standards and the individual agency requirements before a clinical assignment is approved.
These technical standards are established in accordance with the Section 504 of the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the American with Disabilities Act. All students must be able to satisfy these standards with or without a reasonable accommodation. These include:

There are unlimited employment opportunities for graduates to work in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, home care and hospice settings. Graduates are eligible to take the State certification exam as nursing assistants and are certified as Home Health Aides and in CPR/First Aid Basic Life Support.
