The Advantage Program

Work, family responsibilities and academics may feel overwhelming at times.  The Advantage Program can help you succeed in college and beyond.  We have a wonderful and supportive staff who will give you the time and attention that you may need while navigating your way through your college journey.  Students who join the Advantage Program have their own individual advisor who will work with you to advise both personally and academically.  Students can come to talk, study, vent, share successes and obtain support in a caring, welcoming space.

Some services The Advantage Program offers you:

  • Communication and Mediation: We can help you connect with instructors and other campus community members when emergencies pop up.  We can refer and direct you to the many student support services here on campus
  • Transfer Counseling: Advantage offers students assistance in exploring options for transferring to Bachelor’s degree programs, including visits to area colleges and universities
  • Career Counseling: We will help you with exploring career paths, internships and jobs.
  • School Supplies: Advantage stocks items such as note cards, flash drives, highlighters, pens, pencils, notebooks, folders and binders
  • Peer Mentors: Students are assigned to a supportive, experienced Peer Mentor who will help you navigate the college from a student point of view
