4Cs to host Info Session for UMass Boston “On-Cape” RN-to-BS Program

October 15, 2019

Cape Cod Community College (4Cs) will host an information session Wednesday, October 16, at 5:30pm for the UMass Boston Bachelor of Science in Nursing at 4Cs program. The partnership allows working Registered Nurses (RN’s) to take face-to-face and computer assisted classes at Cape Cod Community College as they works towards Bachelors Degrees.

The Info session will take place in the atrium on the second floor of the Lorusso Applied Technology Building on the West Barnstable campus. Representatives from the program will be on-hand to accept application and to discuss enrollment in the different modalities of classes.

The RN-to-BS program is offered through 4Cs' Office of Advanced Studies. To date, they have celebrated five graduating classes and will be welcoming their seventh cohort of students in January 2020. Students can choose from two formats: a face-to-face, traditional classroom model, or a fully online model.

Staff from UMass Boston provide strong individual support and advising to students in the program, beginning with admissions and carrying through graduation. By having courses available at 4Cs, students are able to seamlessly transition from an Associate Degree program to the Bachelors Degree program at UMass. RN’s working for Cape Cod Health Care can apply for scholarships when completing courses in the program.
