4Cs and UMass-Dartmouth Sign Engineering Transfer Agreement, Saving Students Thousands
June 5, 2019Cape Cod Community College and University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth have signed an articulation agreement that will provide guaranteed admission and tuition remission to 4Cs students who earn an Associate of Science degree in Engineering Technology and Advanced Manufacturing with at least a 2.5 grade point average and transfers into either the Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering baccalaureate program at UMass-Dartmouth.
By starting at 4Cs and first earning their Associate’s degree before transferring to UMass-Dartmouth, students can save more than $40,000 in tuition and room and board costs. While at 4Cs, students complete their general education requirements as well as their required first and second year engineering courses in either civil, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering. Transferring students then enter into one of the four UMass-Dartmouth bachelor degree paths with approximately half of their required courses completed.
Last year, Cape Cod Community College had more than 120 students pursing engineering degrees or certificates.
